We are really proud to announce that we’re now a Certified B Corporation.
Our carbon accounting software is recognised for its innovative approach to helping businesses measure, manage and reduce both their organisational carbon footprints and product emissions.
Now, with our B Corp certification, we are taking our commitment to sustainability a step further by embedding environmental and social considerations into our core business practices. As a B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.
Co-founder and CEO of xtonnes, Dr Andy Hale, expressed his enthusiasm for this milestone:
"Attaining B Corp status is a welcome recognition of how we’re building xtonnes as a progressive, 21st century business with an unwavering commitment to sustainability. We believe businesses play a crucial role in addressing global challenges, and xtonnes is a tool for positive change. Being recognised with B Corp status is testament to the team and aligns perfectly with our mission to empower companies to make environmentally conscious decisions."
Our B Corp Certification means that xtonnes has made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, and that it is demonstrating accountability and transparency by disclosing this record of performance in a public B Corp profile.
What is B Corp?
B Corps, or Benefit Corporations, are companies that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability.
Achieving B Corp certification is a rigorous process involving a comprehensive assessment of companies’ impact on workers, customers, the community and the environment.
We are really proud that xtonnes achieved 102 in this assessment, especially as a score of 80 qualifies for B Corp Certification!
As we continue to innovate in the carbon accounting space, our B Corp certification reinforces our position as a force for positive change in the business world. We look forward to joining the B Corp network, providing us opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and collective efforts to address pressing social and environmental challenges.
